PREFACE

                 The United Progressive Alliance (UPA) led by Mrs. Sonia Gandhi secured majority support in the Parliament for the second time in May 2009. Dr. Manmohan Singh was again sworn in as the Prime Minister of India.

          The UPA -I under Dr. Manmohan Singh had given Re. three lakh crore rotting in the Provident Fund (PF) to the ICICI bank and three other banks. This came to light only in 2011.This money ensured one more term to him. Had the money been used for public investments, the unemployment problem in India would have disappeared.

        Further, the UPA- I had sold some public assets. These were done against small favours. It did not take any effort to take over the natural resources.  

        The revelation of the so-called Niira Radia tape showed that the majority of the political leaders, learned judges of the Supreme Court and bureaucrats were the confidantes of the top industrialists.

          This work deals with the efforts taken by various forces to retrieve the nation from their hand.
